Get ready for the most thrilling event of the year - The Sooner Classic! This is not just any weekend, it’s a weekend where dreams are made, skills are tested, and champions are born. Young athletes from all over the country will gather on the hallowed grounds of our Oklahoma football fields, their hearts pounding with anticipation, their spirits soaring with excitement. They’ve trained hard, they’ve dreamed big, and now it’s time to put their skills to the test. So, come one, come all to The Sooner Classic! Witness the future of football, cheer for your favorite teams, and be a part of a weekend that promises to be filled with unforgettable moments, electrifying matches, and the pure joy of youth football.

Check-in procedure

Teams will receive an email to sign up for a 20-minute timeslot via a sign-up genius link given out by our admin.

Be on time for your check-in, otherwise you will be processed as the admins have availability.​


Check-in runs from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, Friday evening, November 22nd.

Union Intermediate High School (I-High) located at 7616 South Garnett Road, Tulsa, Oklahoma. 

The following information will assist your team in getting checked-in quickly.
  1. Your team must line up in the exact order of your Zorts roster (first name alphabetical).
  2. You must keep players under control and reasonably quiet.
  3. Players must be in their jersey with number visible.
  4. NO helmets or pads.
  5. Players will receive a wristband that they must wear ALL WEEKEND. No wristband, no playing. If you lose your band, you must re-weigh at your playing location with a Sooner Classic official.
  6. Coaches will receive wristbands instead of coach passes at check-in. The max number of coaches is 8.

Fees

$300 per team
$30 per player (all divisions)
$12.80 player card fee (elite divisions only)

If you have paid for part or all your team(s) or player(s) participation in the Sooner Classic Tournament, you agree by entering this tournament and paying the fees that you have paid for services rendered. You agree that the efforts of drafting brackets and hiring workers waive your right to dispute these charges or receive a refund.

**A player must have a team to register. We do not place individual players on teams.

Awards

  • Championship rings for 1st and 2nd place in the Elite Division and League Division for each player.
  • Championship coaches can purchase rings at an additional cost of $25/ring.
  • MVP belt - 1 player is selected per championship game (Elite and All-Star divisions) by the Sooner Classic board to receive the MVP tournament belt.

Fields

All games will be played on turf fields at some of the finest high school locations in NE Oklahoma. Some loser bracket games may be played on grass fields.

Submit your verified league roster + up to 5 adds (not from your league team). These games may be played on grass fields and the championship game will be played on turf.

Use the players’ age prior to 7/1 for their division.  For example: A player in the 8U division could not have turned 9 prior to 7/1.

Game details

There will a minimum of 2 games for each team entering the tournament, double elimination.​
  • Teams could have 4-5 games on Saturday depending on bracket placement. Plan team sizes accordingly.
  • Games will be played using OK secondary school rules with INFC preferences.
  • Hand selected rosters to be submitted prior to the tournament

The Sooner Classic draws some of the best teams from all over Oklahoma and the surrounding states. We encourage everyone from Elite programs to local teams and those that are still building their foundations to compete and experience The Sooner Classic!
